About the role
- Design and configure IP networks
- Repair, maintain and install radio communication, CCTV systems and wireless networks
- Fault identification and repair
- Conduct RF active and passive site surveys
- Respond to equipment issues and problem solve to achieve positive outcomes in a timely manner
- Assist with commissioning and start-up of new installations
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, engineers and site-based resources as required
- Work with engineering and project teams to develop technical solutions for clients
- Work both in an office environment, and onsite with our customers and partners.
Requirements
- Cert III or IV in Telecommunications or Electronics
- Strong fault-finding and problem solving skills and a proactive approach
- Positive attitude, highly self motivated with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, work with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Commitment to safety and continuous learning
- Valid Australian manual C class drivers licence and ability to travel as required
- Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance and fault identification of digital radio systems (desirable)
- Experience in IP network technologies, configuration and fault identification (desirable)
- Initial response first aid certificate (or higher) (desirable)
- Working at Heights (high risk license with EWP over 11m), and in Enclosed Spaces (desirable)
- Cisco qualifications (desirable)
- Rajant certification or experience (desirable)
- ACMA OPEN Licence (including structured, coaxial, optic fibre endorsements) (desirable)
- Defence experience desirable (desirable)
