About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operational management of all financial functions – Accounting, Treasury and Controlling
Developing a professional reporting system with meaningful KPIs and early-warning indicators
Preparation of business plans, rolling forecasts, and monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Balance sheet and liquidity planning, as well as optimization of working capital management
Identifying value-creation opportunities and implementing measures to increase profitability
Professionalization and digitalization of back-office processes
Support for M&A activities, especially due diligence and post-merger integration
Commercial/financial advisory to the CEO on strategic decisions
Collaboration with the EMERAM investment team, including regular reporting and board presentations
Prospective responsibility for building and leading an in-house finance team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Controlling or Accounting — or equivalent qualification
Several years of professional experience, ideally with a background in audit/consulting
Solid knowledge of accounting, controlling and financial reporting
Proven ability to independently prepare financial statements, plans and analyses
Strong hands-on mentality
Ability to quickly create transparency and implement pragmatic solutions under time pressure
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership
Strong numerical understanding as well as analytical and conceptual skills
Confident communication in German and English, and strong presentation skills
Interest in working in a PE-backed growth company
Flexibility regarding location within Germany
Initial operational experience in a company is an advantage but not required
Experience in the service, energy or technology sectors is an advantage but not required
Experience in building or professionalizing finance structures and processes is an advantage but not required
