About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for administration and analysis of agency compensation programs by collecting, validating, and reporting compensation data while maintaining accurate records and overseeing program implementation
- Evaluates reports and dashboards, researches data discrepancies, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support compensation initiatives, enhance process efficiency, and deliver timely, accurate information to stakeholders
- Leads the compensation team in strategic initiatives to optimize program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
- Serves as subject matter expert
- Collects, audits, validates, and maintains agency compensation data from internal systems and external sources
- Researches discrepancies in compensation records
- Evaluates reports on agency compensation, performance metrics, and payout calculations for business stakeholders
- Leads the maintenance and documentation of compensation models, agreements, and related materials
- Leads the rollout and administration of new and/or updated compensation programs, including system setup and testing
- Partners with agency partners and internal business teams on compensation related inquiries; leads and resolves assigned issues
- Communicates technical system or cross team impacting issues and recommended resolution to leader
- Maintains dashboards and reporting tools to track compensation usage, accuracy, and program adoption
- Leads and partners with internal teams in defining and documenting business requirements
- Participates in process improvement initiatives and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support compensation program efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensures all agency compensation programs and agreements comply with state and federal regulations
- Collaborates with Legal and Compliance to address regulatory changes and mitigate risk
- Develops and maintains documentation of agency compensation policies, procedures, and compliance protocols to support transparency and audit readiness
- Drives continuous improvement by identifying EMC opportunities to enhance compensation programs, tools, and communication strategies
- Attends industry workshops, webinars, and conferences on agency compensation trends and regulatory updates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, business, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Five years of experience in compensation analysis, including 2 years’ agency compensation experience
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Prior insurance or financial services experience
- Knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry and independent agency operations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational abilities
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within teams
- Ability to read and interpret agency-company contracts and compensation agreements preferred
- Knowledge of reporting or visualization tools preferred
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets and data management tools
