About the role
- Develop and execute the global benefits strategy in alignment with organisational goals, talent priorities, and market competitiveness.
- Establish global standards, policies, processes, and governance frameworks for benefits design and delivery.
- Partner with senior HR and business leaders to ensure benefits strategies support overall workforce experience, attraction, and retention.
- Oversee benefit programs across all regions, ensuring alignment to global philosophy while meeting local compliance, market norms, and employee needs.
- Evaluate benefits effectiveness using benchmarking, market intelligence, and employee insights; recommend strategic changes where needed.
- Manage annual renewals, plan updates, and implementation of new benefits programs or enhancements.
- Lead benefits workstreams for mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures, including due diligence, comparative analysis, integration, and transition planning.
- Drive global benefits projects and transformation initiatives that impact multiple regions and functions.
- Ensure compliance with international, regional, and country-specific benefits regulations and reporting requirements.
- Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions or process improvements to mitigate exposure.
- Oversee global benefits financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost-containment strategies.
- Develop and maintain analytics, dashboards, and financial models to evaluate cost trends, utilisation, and program performance.
- Partner with Finance to ensure alignment with financial objectives and long-term sustainability.
- Lead global benefits vendor strategy, including contract negotiation, performance management (SLAs/KPIs), and escalation processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing decisions and ensuring smooth program execution.
- Design and deliver benefits communication strategies that increase awareness, understanding, and appreciation of benefit offerings.
- Create tools, training, and resources to enhance employee and HR partner experience across regions.
- Lead and develop the global benefits team, setting clear objectives, delegating work, and providing coaching, direction, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (CEBS, CIPD, CCP) preferred.
- Extensive global benefits experience, including strategy development, vendor management, plan design, and compliance across multiple regions.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities; adept at using data to support decisions and recommendations.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior leaders in complex, matrixed organisations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
- Experience overseeing benefits programs in EMEA, APAC, and Latin America strongly preferred.
