About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the Athena Master Reference Data Platform
Design, document, and execute comprehensive automated testing plans covering unit, integration, and end-to-end regression testing
Develop and maintain automated test scripts specifically for data validation
Integrate automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline
Collaborate with developers to define 'Definition of Done' criteria
Perform deep-dive data validation using SQL
Collaborate with Data Engineers and Architects to identify, document, and track defects
Build and maintain automated regression test suites to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) cycles
Validate API endpoints and downstream data consumption points
Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and completeness

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years experience
3-5 years experience
5-10 years experience in developing automated testing frameworks for data-centric platforms (using Python, PyTest or Great Expectations)
Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis, validation, and backend testing
Proven experience in testing Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data platforms or large-scale data warehouse environments
Proven track record of implementing automated testing plans with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD environments
Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Selenium, or Robot Framework) and Azure DevOps/Jira for defect management
Familiarity with Kafka / streaming data validation
Exposure to OpenSearch / Elasticsearch for data validation and querying
Experience with MDM platforms (Reltio preferred)
