About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the audit process from planning to completion for clients
- Supervise the audit process, research, review current processes and provide recommendations
- Communicate the progress of engagements, problems, and resolutions to clients
- Continuously improve specialty area knowledge and educate the team on new audit practices and processes
- Manage billable hour budgets
- Lead multiple auditing and accounting projects and client engagements simultaneously
- Delegate and manage audit and accounting assignments
- Research and identify complex audit issues and recommend creative solutions
- Build developmental plans for all team members and evaluate results
- Manage billable hour budgets
- Provide direction and coaching to the audit team
- Generate new business for the firm through community involvement, networking, and events/committees
- Develop and sustain excellent client relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of recent audit experience at a public accounting firm
- CPA Certification
- Successful experience in developing new or extended service opportunities with existing and/or prospective clients
- Strong oral and written interpersonal skills
- Effective analytical and problem-solving ability
- Experience in hiring, developing, and leading a team of professional auditors
- Experience in SOX compliance audits for financial institutions
