About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the audit process from planning to completion for clients
Supervise the audit process, research, review current processes and provide recommendations
Communicate the progress of engagements, problems, and resolutions to clients
Continuously improve specialty area knowledge and educate the team on new audit practices and processes
Manage billable hour budgets
Lead multiple auditing and accounting projects and client engagements simultaneously
Delegate and manage audit and accounting assignments
Research and identify complex audit issues and recommend creative solutions
Build developmental plans for all team members and evaluate results
Manage billable hour budgets
Provide direction and coaching to the audit team
Generate new business for the firm through community involvement, networking, and events/committees
Develop and sustain excellent client relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of recent audit experience at a public accounting firm
CPA Certification
Successful experience in developing new or extended service opportunities with existing and/or prospective clients
Strong oral and written interpersonal skills
Effective analytical and problem-solving ability
Experience in hiring, developing, and leading a team of professional auditors
Experience in SOX compliance audits for financial institutions
