About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Onboard with the SEO team, tools, systems, and clients
  • Review existing strategies, campaign roadmaps, content calendars, and performance
  • Lead keyword research, site audits, content strategy, and campaign planning
  • Own SEO strategy and reporting across assigned client accounts
  • Develop multi-month strategic plans and align agency and client teams
  • Present performance insights, reports, and strategic roadmap updates
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, developers, content teams, and technical SEO teams
  • Identify upsell opportunities with Account Executives
  • Advise on site structure, redirects, schema, and performance issues
  • Lead complex technical initiatives including migrations, indexation strategy, and site architecture improvements
  • Serve as executive SEO advisor during client planning and quarterly business reviews
  • Lead training sessions on AI, GEO, technical SEO, off-page authority building, and content strategy
  • Develop agency-wide SEO frameworks, processes, and best practices
  • Mentor Strategists and Specialists
  • Partner with leadership on service development and innovation
  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation, tooling audits, and reporting improvements
  • Serve as SEO Team Captain on internal initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in SEO, including agency or multi-client work
  • At least 1+ year of deep SEO technical experience
  • 3+ years leading strategy for enterprise or high-growth ecommerce brands
  • Experience presenting to executive stakeholders
  • Proven history mentoring team members
  • Experience with SEO strategy, keyword research, site audits, content strategy, and campaign planning
  • Experience with technical SEO initiatives, migrations, indexation strategy, and site architecture improvements
  • Experience using Slack, Asana, Google Workspace, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, Google Merchant Center, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and content optimization tools such as SurferSEO, Frase, or MarketMuse
  • Interest in ongoing education in GEO, AI optimizations, and LLM optimizations
  • Ability to lead training programs and contribute to measurement, testing frameworks, and marketing analytics
