About the role
- Responsible for contacting discharged patients to establish a positive partnership to obtain collateral documents necessary to complete their applications for government assistance programs.
- Maintains a large caseload with minimum or no delinquencies
- Capable of multitasking under pressure and completing tasks promptly
- Proficient at meeting deadlines and achieving individual metrics in a consistent basis
- Contacts patients and creates collaborative teamwork to obtain needed information for application advancement
- Uses clear, simple language to ensure understanding in English and/or Spanish
- Complies with all state and federal laws regarding HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
- Demonstrates respect for all individuals
Requirements
- High School diploma / GED (or higher)
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skill
- Prior costumer service experience
- Experience navigating a computer while on the phone
- Willing to work and contribute to a team environment
- Able to remain focused and productive each day with minimum supervision
