About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and support end-to-end Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) configuration/ Change requests build - processes including top-down and bottom-up planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Work on key MFP modules such as Sales Planning, Inventory Planning, Margin Planning, Assortment Planning, and Open-to-Buy (OTB)
Collaborate with merchandising, buying, and finance teams to align financial plans with business strategies and targets
Develop and maintain financial plans across product hierarchies, channels, and locations
Perform variance analysis (Plan vs Actual vs Forecast) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
Monitor inventory health, stock levels, and sell-through performance, ensuring optimal stock availability and minimizing markdowns
Support seasonal planning, promotions, and pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
Configure and manage MFP system functionalities including data setup, workflows, hierarchies, and business rules
Ensure data accuracy, validation, and reconciliation between planning systems and downstream systems
Generate and present reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to sales, margin, inventory, and financial performance
Drive continuous process improvements, automation, and best practices within MFP modules
Act as a business analyst/interface between business users and technical teams for requirements gathering, testing, and implementation
Support UAT, system enhancements, and production issue resolution for MFP tools
Provide training and guidance to users on MFP tools and planning processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 3 years of experience along with two end to end o9 Implementation Projects
Strong experience in o9 Solutions MFP (Merchandise Financial Planning) configuration
Hands-on with o9 Modeler and Data Integration concepts
Familiarity with Retail Planning Concepts
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of SQL or Python (preferred but not mandatory)
