About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You take independent responsibility for reviewing construction and manufacturing drawings.
You ensure that only error-free, complete, and standards-compliant drawings are released to production.
You check dimensions, tolerances, fits, and material specifications, and ensure appropriate surface and corrosion protection.
You meticulously align plans with customer requirements, the scope of work/specification, and applicable standards.
You identify design errors or ambiguities early and proactively clarify open questions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid expertise in metal construction or structural steel, ideally gained through training as a Technical System Planner, master metalworker (Metallbaumeister), technician, or an engineering degree.
A very confident understanding of technical drawings and solid knowledge of relevant standards (in particular DIN 7200).
In-depth knowledge of welded structures, manufacturing processes, and external corrosion protection.
A careful, structured, and detail-oriented working style.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with internal departments and external partners in German and English.
