About the role
- Design and implement complex IC substrates for advanced semiconductor packages including multi layer and high density designs
- Perform detailed substrate and layout work to support product development and tape out schedules
- Collaborate closely with analog, digital, packaging, and test engineering teams to translate design requirements into manufacturable layouts
- Ensure layouts meet electrical, thermal, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements
- Run and review DRC, LVS, and other verification checks to ensure accuracy and design quality
- Interface with foundries, OSATs, and external vendors as needed to support fabrication and assembly
- Provide clear documentation and design handoff for internal teams and manufacturing partners
- Support design reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently within project timelines
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Extensive experience in substrate design and semiconductor layout
- Strong hands on experience with industry standard layout and substrate design tools
- Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturing constraints
- Proven ability to work independently in a contract environment with minimal oversight
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
