About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver strategic network security, access control, and secure transaction/messaging solutions
Design and implement compliant information security technology solutions
Maintain enterprise information security policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and infrastructure
Provide first-level engineering design and trouble resolution for complex problems
Lead or plan implementations for access management and network security technologies
Develop testing plans for implementation quality
Lead investigation and reporting of data security events and incidents
Provide system and network architecture support for security technologies
Support risk assessments and implementation of information security procedures, standards, and technologies
Maintain security incident response plans
Represent major upgrades and business system replacements in change control
Oversee vendor services and recommend strategy changes
Design and engineer repeatable technical solutions based on business requirements and technology standards
Develop support procedures and performance metric reports
Lead Level 1 and Level 2 incident recoveries and root cause analysis
Organize analyst efforts during incident recovery
Design, develop, tune, and maintain security detections, correlation rules, and behavioral analytics
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for detection-content deployment, testing, and validation
Collaborate with CSOC, Fraud, Threat Intelligence, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to enhance monitoring capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS/BA degree in Information Technology or related field of study
Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems support, system administration, system engineering, system security, access management, network security, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, and/or data; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience planning and designing highly complex systems
Capability to provide top-tier support for 4 or more information security technology Common Body of Knowledge skill sets
Experience with multiple technical and business disciplines strongly preferred
CISSP or other technical security certifications strongly preferred
Experience with SIEM, EDR, UEBA, and fraud analytics platforms preferred
Detection engineering and security analytics experience preferred
Experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting technologies preferred
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation preferred
Experience with machine learning concepts, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics for cybersecurity use cases preferred
Knowledge of security automation and orchestration technologies
