About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee staff and processes for patient check-in
- Verify charts are pulled for scheduled appointments
- Update demographics and eligibility
- Ensure current forms are being utilized
- Listen and respond to patient and/or family member concerns
- Respond to patient questions and complaints and route issues to appropriate personnel
- Analyze daily administrative operations and resource utilization
- Assist with Medic user issues
- Ensure proper cash controls are in place and policies and procedures are followed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of lead/supervisory experience in a health care environment
- Any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background may qualify
- Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is required for Carelon Health business units
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, not required
- 1+ years of medical front office experience preferred
- Prior authorization experience preferred
- Inbound call experience preferred
- Customer service experience in a medical or professional setting preferred
- Ability to work onsite at the posted locations and within reasonable commuting distance
