About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee staff and processes for patient check-in
  • Verify charts are pulled for scheduled appointments
  • Update demographics and eligibility
  • Ensure current forms are being utilized
  • Listen and respond to patient and/or family member concerns
  • Respond to patient questions and complaints and route issues to appropriate personnel
  • Analyze daily administrative operations and resource utilization
  • Assist with Medic user issues
  • Ensure proper cash controls are in place and policies and procedures are followed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of lead/supervisory experience in a health care environment
  • Any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background may qualify
  • Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is required for Carelon Health business units
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, not required
  • 1+ years of medical front office experience preferred
  • Prior authorization experience preferred
  • Inbound call experience preferred
  • Customer service experience in a medical or professional setting preferred
  • Ability to work onsite at the posted locations and within reasonable commuting distance
