About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as team lead in recovery of overpayments or situations involving other party liability
Evaluate, prepare, negotiate, and settle Workers' Compensation, Third Party Liability, and other recovery cases
Oversee complex Workers' Compensation, Third Party Liability, and other subrogation recovery cases
Provide ongoing training to lower-level associates
Conduct audits of work
Develop procedures and provide input to policies
Review legal precedents
Research and apply or interpret appropriate laws
Work with the Legal Department
Prepare communications
Assist the manager with special projects
May have recovery accountability on liens with higher-level settlement authority

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience handling Workers' Compensation and/or Third Party Liability cases, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Subrogation Examiner experience preferred
Subrogation Analyst experience preferred
Experience in multiple lines of business
Ability to multi-task
Leadership or training experience
Ability to develop training materials
Recruiting experience
Attention to detail
Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of a posting location unless an accommodation is granted as required by law
