About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support disease management programs and physicians' care plans through drug therapy evaluation and consultation
  • Evaluate members' prescription needs and therapies by reviewing medication histories
  • Assess member compliance with treatment plans through direct contact with members and physicians
  • Determine barriers to medication compliance and identify solutions
  • Ensure members understand appropriate use of current prescriptions
  • Review medications with physicians when therapies do not meet national standards
  • Counsel physicians on alternative medications
  • Serve as a clinical resource in disease management and other clinical areas

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS in Pharmacy and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current unrestricted Pharmacist license in applicable state(s) required
  • PharmD preferred
  • Call center experience strongly preferred
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM EST
  • Must reside within commuting distance of a posting location unless an accommodation is granted
