About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber order
- Completes admission process as directed by Center Director
- Performs physical assessment on each patient
- Documents all pertinent data in the patient’s medical record
- Reports significant changes or observations to the Center Director
- Maintains patient confidentiality by abiding by HIPAA laws
- Evaluates the patient’s response to therapy
- Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan
- Participates in Quality Improvement program
- Ensures medication orders are complete and accurate
- Participates in On-Call program
- Provides clinical coverage for nurse practitioners on PTO/LOA
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires MS in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
- Experience with IVs required
- Current NP license to practice
- Active Family Nurse Practitioner Certification
- Multi-state licensure if providing services in multiple states
- Satisfactory completion of Tuberculosis test required
- Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver
