About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • managing psychiatric and substance abuse or substance abuse disorder facility-based and outpatient professional treatment health benefits through telephonic or written review
  • Assess member needs to ensure access to medically necessary behavioral healthcare in a cost effective setting
  • Refers cases to Peer Reviewers as appropriate
  • Performs psychiatric and substance abuse assessment coordination and case planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • MA/MS in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field, or a degree in nursing
  • minimum of 3 years of experience with facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse or substance abuse disorder treatment
  • Current active unrestricted license (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, RN or Clinical Psychologist)
  • Prior Utilization Management/Case Management experience with complex psychiatric/substance abuse cases is preferred
  • Bilingual English-Spanish is highly preferred
  • Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office and EMR) and comfortable using multiple screens simultaneously
