About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Managing and coordinating account service activities as the primary customer contact for retention of national accounts
Defining and overseeing the execution of account management and retention strategy for a defined book of accounts
Identifying opportunities for penetration sales
Supporting pursuit of new business opportunities
Providing support for field sales staff with RFP responses, proposals, client presentations, and underwriting coordination
Developing business relationships with brokers, consultants, and key decision makers
Managing the annual renewal process for accounts
Coordinating and controlling new business implementation activities
Working directly with sales and account management teams to assure smooth account service
Traveling to customer sites or other offsite locations as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires a BA/BS
Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or sales
Sales license required
Background in Student Health Plans strongly preferred
Client facing experience strongly preferred
Ability to travel throughout CA preferred
