About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of external financial statements and all related filings
Provides assistance with complex financial statement transactions and filings
Prepares filings using the general ledger system and financial statement preparation software
Assists with responses to government and regulatory agencies requests and inquiries
Provides information for external audits
Participates in the evaluation of anticipated transactions and assists with implementing needed changes to the financial statements and related disclosures
Recommends and develops enhancements to accounting methods and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience or equivalent background
Insurance accounting and/or SEC or other financial reporting experience preferred
