About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Calculates renewal rates for large complex cases
- Provides guidance to the actuarial team
- Coordinates with other departments for accuracy
- Proposes rate structures for prospective business
- Facilitates and documents deal approval process
- Prepares annual settlements and reports
- Surveys existing product portfolios and monitors sales results
- Assists in establishing rating and administrative procedures
- Participates in multi-functional teams as underwriting representative
- Assists in technical development of underwriting associates
- Updates departmental processes in compliance with requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires a BA/BS in a related field
- Minimum 7 years of related experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Healthcare or Behavioral Health Underwriting preferred
- Practical experience in corporate transfer pricing
- Working experience with Salesforce
- CPCU, CLU, LOMA, HIAA, PAHM or other insurance related courses preferred
