Key responsibilities & impact

Calculates renewal rates for large complex cases
Provides guidance to the actuarial team
Coordinates with other departments for accuracy
Proposes rate structures for prospective business
Facilitates and documents deal approval process
Prepares annual settlements and reports
Surveys existing product portfolios and monitors sales results
Assists in establishing rating and administrative procedures
Participates in multi-functional teams as underwriting representative
Assists in technical development of underwriting associates
Updates departmental processes in compliance with requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires a BA/BS in a related field
Minimum 7 years of related experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Healthcare or Behavioral Health Underwriting preferred
Practical experience in corporate transfer pricing
Working experience with Salesforce
CPCU, CLU, LOMA, HIAA, PAHM or other insurance related courses preferred
