About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serves as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations
Provides guidance to other data analysts
Performs established analysis for routine diagnoses of quality, use, cost and other variables for opportunity assessments
Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data)
Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports
Executes identification and stratification algorithm to select the right members for the targeted solution
Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership, or external customers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires a BS/BA degree in a related field
Minimum of 5 years experience
Working experience with Python/R or equivalents analytical tools
Experience with Teradata, SQL, Snowflake or equivalent database tools
Substantial analytical experience in the healthcare industry preferred
Familiarity with medical management or population health programs
Strong understanding of actuarial principles and managed care operations preferred
Possess working knowledge of healthcare data and measurement standards such as ICD10, CPT/HCPCS, MS-DRG, DxCG, PMPM, and utilization per 1,000, preferred
Advanced SQL and Excel skills preferred
Ability to present meaningful results to a business audience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to design modeling studies and experience with data models
