About the role

  • Design and oversee Ballistics tests and capture the resulting data.
  • Apply engineering principles in the design, development, and testing of explosive devices.
  • Comply with safety, regulatory, and quality policies at all times.
  • Review project proposals/plans and develop technical test objectives.
  • Use Engineering principles to design test procedures and specifications based on Customer SOWs and Test Standards.
  • Lead research, development, and implementation of new testing capabilities.
  • Assist with technical reviews of customer SOW’s.
  • Support Sales and Business Development with capture and pursuit of new opportunities.
  • Work with Project Managers and customers on test plans, deviations to testing, troubleshooting and developing efficient testing processes.
  • Provide support to the development, management, and planning for current and future ballistic testing capabilities and opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations for testing improvements for safety and efficiency.
  • Provide SME support to Technicians as tests are conducted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physics is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in ballistics development and testing.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in relevant aspects of perforating gun assembly, operating procedures, and explosive safety.
  • Experience in working in a project team environment.
  • This role is required to be on-site in a lab.
