About the role
- Design and oversee Ballistics tests and capture the resulting data.
- Apply engineering principles in the design, development, and testing of explosive devices.
- Comply with safety, regulatory, and quality policies at all times.
- Review project proposals/plans and develop technical test objectives.
- Use Engineering principles to design test procedures and specifications based on Customer SOWs and Test Standards.
- Lead research, development, and implementation of new testing capabilities.
- Assist with technical reviews of customer SOW’s.
- Support Sales and Business Development with capture and pursuit of new opportunities.
- Work with Project Managers and customers on test plans, deviations to testing, troubleshooting and developing efficient testing processes.
- Provide support to the development, management, and planning for current and future ballistic testing capabilities and opportunities.
- Provide recommendations for testing improvements for safety and efficiency.
- Provide SME support to Technicians as tests are conducted.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physics is required.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in ballistics development and testing.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in relevant aspects of perforating gun assembly, operating procedures, and explosive safety.
- Experience in working in a project team environment.
- This role is required to be on-site in a lab.
