Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain systems for tracking ideas through development.
Identify researchers and institutions we should know, build relationships with them, and keep the team informed about new opportunities.
Find the right people and places for each story — and handle the outreach needed to make access happen.
Stay across the latest research and discoveries — and flag developments that could become great Veritasium stories.
Spot new stories, write pitches and present ideas to the team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong scientific background, with a degree in physics, maths, engineering, chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
Strong written and verbal English skills.
Confident communicating with researchers, academics and industry professionals, including through cold outreach.
Comfortable setting up, maintaining and improving databases.
Excellent research, reading comprehension, and fact-checking skills; comfortable going deep into primary sources.
Highly organised, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality content that meets the standards of the Veritasium YouTube channel.
