About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute, build out, and lead Automotive-sector Turnaround and Restructuring Services engagements
  • Lead and advise on restructuring processes, including strategy development, liquidity management, parallel processes, out-of-court negotiations, bankruptcy preparation, and strategy execution
  • Develop and execute restructuring and turnaround plans to maximize stakeholder value
  • Develop integrated P&L, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, and 13-week cash flow financial models
  • Maintain executive presence and serve as primary contact on assigned engagements
  • Keep Partners informed of engagement progress
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and client personnel
  • Manage professional teams and delegate work assignments
  • Foster team environments and contribute to professional development
  • Participate in marketing, networking, business development, and proposal development
  • Travel to local, regional, and national clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry required
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience performing business restructuring, valuations, and/or related consulting services
  • Five (5) or more years of management experience, including managing internal/external teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field
  • Advanced knowledge of bankruptcy and insolvency processes preferred
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred
  • CFA, CIRA, and/or CTP designation preferred; CPA, CFE, and other relevant certifications beneficial
  • Prior experience working within a consulting organization preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to review work product developed by others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Superior analytical skills, including identifying issues and anomalies
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to multitask independently and within a group environment
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to provide superior work product while meeting engagement deadlines
