Senior Tax Associate – Affordable Housing

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Tax Return Detail Review
- Prepare complex returns (complexity determined by the manager)
- Research intermediate tax issues
- Complete various tasks to assist manager
- Prepare supporting documents and schedules for intermediate tax projects
- Respond to IRS, state/local and other notices
- Assist manager with routine client correspondence
- Helps organize client meetings under the direction of a manager or partner
- Experienced Senior may manage a limited number of clients
- Develop staff and interns - oversee, provide coaching and training
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required
- 2+ years of tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience within public accounting or professional services supporting real estate or affordable housing industry
- Master’s Degree in Taxation or relevant field preferred
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or parts passed towards completion, OR IRS (Internal Revenue Service) Enrolled Agent Certification preferred
- Experience using GoSystems or CCH Axcess tax software
