About the role

Preparing and assisting others in the preparation of indirect tax returns, registrations, and telecom surcharge and fee filings
Managing information related to telecom tax compliance
Interacting with clients and managing staff
Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues
Managing registrations and business licenses for clients
Interacting with other state and local tax professionals as well as other professionals at the firm
Other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent field
3+ years experience in tax compliance
1+ years experience of telecom tax compliance
Experience working with telecommunications clients
Knowledge of relevant state and local legislative updates, court cases, announcements, and authorities
Experience with communications tax and regulatory compliance
Understanding of sales tax issues, including exemption certificate management, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries and use tax issue
Experience with tax preparation software such as Vertex or Alteryx
Exhibits a high degree of professionalism and maintains the highest level of confidentiality
CPA or CMI (sales tax) designation
