Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as Micron’s technical accounting expert by proactively evaluating complex transactions
Provide accounting mentorship and disclosure recommendations
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Research and interpret accounting guidance
Consult with external experts as needed
Prepare or review technical accounting memos for complex transactions
Monitor FASB and SEC pronouncements
Support SEC reporting requirements by drafting or reviewing disclosures
Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to implement accounting for complex transactions
Partner with internal and external auditors to support timely quarterly reviews and annual audits

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
Active CPA (or equivalent qualification)
8+ years of public accounting and/or related industry experience
5+ years in technical accounting with proficiency across multiple areas of U.S. GAAP
Ability to research, interpret, apply, and communicate complex accounting guidance clearly to stakeholders at all levels
