About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as primary point of contact for site suppliers
- Perform commercial supplier qualification activities
- Maintain collaborative relationships with supplier(s)
- Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions
- Utilize data and should-cost models to drive cost improvement
- Drive negotiations with suppliers
- Execute and manage the purchase of goods and services
- Partner with the Category team and other sites to build comprehensive view of supplier performance
- Collaborate internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics for Strategic Suppliers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-5 years of experience in any of the following: Engineering, Purchasing/Procurement, Supplier/Partner Relations, Supply Chain
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Related field of study
- Professional Procurement Certification (ISM, APICS, other)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to be a persuasive advocate
- Experience as change agent that seeks out and advocates new and innovative solutions to meet the business needs
- Collaboration skills with peers in global category and stakeholder teams
- Able to work independently or with a cross functional team
- Demonstrated relationship management skills, including to navigate the organization, influence decisions and align with stakeholders
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills with a forward-thinking approach
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead or execute assigned tasks
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications
