About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Mock Trial Instructor is responsible for guiding high school and/or middle school students through Education Unlimited’s mock trial curriculum.
  • Instructors teach daily seminars and workshops.
  • Instructors should be natural leaders and enthusiastic about working with young people.
  • Instructors should be prepared to give small lectures throughout the week, and also manage and prep students for trial.
  • Instructors will be responsible for tracking student work and handing in any deliverables to the camp director and EU home office.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years experience teaching, leading, coaching, or participating in mock trial.
  • A practicing attorney, former practicing attorney, or legal expert.
  • Proven ability to lead small or large groups.
  • A calm and professional demeanor.
  • The willingness and ability to work long hours.
  • Self-motivation and follow-through.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
