About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Mock Trial Instructor is responsible for guiding high school and/or middle school students through Education Unlimited’s mock trial curriculum.
Instructors teach daily seminars and workshops.
Instructors should be natural leaders and enthusiastic about working with young people.
Instructors should be prepared to give small lectures throughout the week, and also manage and prep students for trial.
Instructors will be responsible for tracking student work and handing in any deliverables to the camp director and EU home office.

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years experience teaching, leading, coaching, or participating in mock trial.
A practicing attorney, former practicing attorney, or legal expert.
Proven ability to lead small or large groups.
A calm and professional demeanor.
The willingness and ability to work long hours.
Self-motivation and follow-through.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong public speaking skills.
