About the role

  • Process fortnightly payroll for 450 employees
  • Reconcile payments and maintain payroll data
  • Prepare financial reports related to payroll
  • Assist in annual payroll events and process queries
  • Comply with workplace health and safety obligations

Requirements

  • End-to-end processing of fortnightly payrolls for approx. 450 employees, including new hires, timesheets, salary increases, back pays, leaves, bonuses, terminations and payslip distribution
  • Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain and update payroll Masterfile data and Superannuation Clearing House
  • Reconcile, upload/ lodge and process payments for Superannuation, Payroll Tax (multiple states), External Parties on monthly basis
  • Prepare payroll and financial reports on fortnightly and monthly basis, such as head counts, leave liability, payroll costing, accruals, End of Month and End of Year reports
  • Assisting in processing End of Month and End of Year payroll
  • Assisting in annual payroll event such as STI payments, budgeting, payroll annual reconciliation and workers' compensation
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and general queries to multiple stakeholders
  • On-going maintenance and upgrading of payroll system
  • Applying employment contracts and enterprise agreement information correctly
  • Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations
  • Support and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company’s employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/Supervisors
  • In addition to the duties set out above, the Payroll Advisor may be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company
