About the role
- Teach in the undergraduate level Software Development program
- Support busy adult learners by being available evenings and weekends
- Share specific industry experiences to help students achieve learning outcomes
- Conduct live sessions and office hours via Zoom
- Troubleshoot software or technical concerns for students
Requirements
- Masters degree in Computer Science with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution
- 3-5 years industry experience required within the last 5 years
- Programming experience in C, C++, Coral, Python, Java, Assembly, Javascript, CSS, HTML and/or SQL
- Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Understanding of and experience with relational database environments
- Required to teach one live session each week and hold one live office hour per week via Zoom
- Comfortable being first point of contact to troubleshoot software or technical concerns for students
- Ability to quickly build connections with students using strong interpersonal skills (including approachability and empathy)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a 5-week accelerated course environment
