• Lead 2LoD sanctions program oversight within a fintech payments company, shaping global sanctions framework, policies, and procedures. This includes staying current on key sanctions regulatory changes, enforcement actions, and industry trends to ensure our program remains robust and effective.

• Provide expert advisory and guidance to business units on sanctions policy applicability and regulatory requirements. This includes advising on new business initiatives, product launches, and complex transactions from a sanctions perspective.

• Analyse data and prepare comprehensive reports related to sanctions risk assessments and monitoring.
• Escalate potential breaches or non-adherence to senior management and global partners.
• Oversee first-line sanctions control processes, ensuring adherence to procedures and global standards; coordinate investigations with Legal, HR, etc.
• Assess impact of sanctions-related issues; define disciplinary and corrective actions; track remedial actions.
• Support internal assurance processes including risk assessments, self-assessments, internal audit reviews, and regulatory examinations.
• Collaborate with Product and Technology to implement sanctions screening and resolution, including testing of fuzzy logic.
• Draft and edit sanctions materials; maintain records; contribute to training programs.
• Partner with functional counterparts to promote global consistency of Sanctions ICRM practices.
