About the role
- Managing all phases of litigation: pleadings, motions, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Reviewing medical records, evaluating case value, and determining insurance coverage
- Drafting legal documents and negotiating settlements
- Making court appearances across all boroughs
- Taking cases to verdict
- Handling own caseload and courtroom-focused litigation
Requirements
- NY-barred and in good standing
- 5+ years of experience handling plaintiff personal injury cases
- Comfortable in court and capable of trying cases
- Trial experience is a plus
- Solid understanding of personal injury matters like motor vehicle accidents and slip & falls
- Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills
- Russian-speaking candidates are highly preferred
