About the role
- Own and manage CI/CD processes with Azure DevOps: Setup, optimize, and troubleshoot workflows and pipelines.
- Work fluently in AWS: Manage and optimize AWS services with a particular focus on Lambda cost-efficiency and strategic use of newer features.
- Ensure observability and operational excellence using Datadog to set up monitoring, alerting, and performance dashboards.
- Proactively identify and escalate critical issues and their impact up to executive levels (including CEO).
- Collaborate across teams with a startup-level understanding of urgency, autonomy, and accountability.
- Uphold high standards of system reliability, security, and performance.
- Be available in emergency situations (24/7) and respond as needed.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of relevant DevOps experience.
- Prior experience in startup environments or similarly fast-moving cultures.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, AWS (especially Lambda), and Datadog.
- A clear, personal understanding of what operational excellence means and how it contributes to business success.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
- Willingness to participate in multiple rounds of interviews as part of the selection process.
- Availability in emergency situations (24/7) if needed.
- Self-sufficient, highly professional, and capable of independently setting priorities and executing tasks.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite in NYC at least three days per week.
