Medical Director

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for all medical services provided to clients
- Supervise medical staff including physicians and nurse practitioners
- Develop and revise medical policies and procedures
- Conduct medical evaluations and ongoing assessments
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Provide professional consultation to program staff
- Prepare and review required medical documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed physician (MD or DO) registered to practice medicine in New York State
- At least one year of education, training, and/or experience in treatment of substance use disorders
- Board certification in addiction medicine or psychiatry
- Valid DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances in New York State
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
