About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead transport strategy
  • Define and deploy the group's transport policy in alignment with Supply Chain and financial objectives
  • Harmonize transport practices and processes across the Group's entities
  • Identify and implement transport synergies at national and international levels
  • Participate in Supply Chain transformation and continuous improvement projects
  • Oversee all transport operations: freight contracting/chartering, distribution, inter-site flows, import/export
  • Ensure service levels and delivery deadlines are met
  • Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) and implement associated action plans
  • Optimize transport networks and schemes to reduce costs and improve environmental performance
  • Select and manage the Group's transport service providers
  • Support the implementation of tenders and framework transport contracts
  • Track deliveries and ensure deadlines are met with our customers and suppliers
  • Monitor service provider quality: service rate, disputes, claims, improvement plans
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of transport operations: road regulations, ADR, customs, security and documentary compliance
  • Oversee incident, claims and transport loss management
  • Ensure Group procedures and quality standards are applied
  • Work closely with logistics, procurement, supply, customer service, finance and commercial teams
  • Support sites in improving their transport performance
  • Lead transport follow-up meetings with the various subsidiaries and partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) or equivalent in Transport, Logistics or Supply Chain
  • 7 to 10+ years' proven experience in a transport function, ideally in a multi-site or international environment
  • Proven experience managing service providers and negotiating transport contracts required
  • Strong knowledge of transport and customs regulations
  • Good understanding of international flows and Incoterms
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred), advanced Excel and transport management tools (BOXIA a plus)
  • Awareness of CSR and transport flow optimization issues
  • Fluent in French and English required. Spanish and/or Italian a plus.
