About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.
Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address students' specific needs.
Monitor and document students' progress towards goals, adjusting intervention plans as needed.
Provide consultation and support to teachers and school staff regarding strategies to promote students' success.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for students.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to students' education plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
Must hold valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state where practicing
Passionate about working with K-12 students in a virtual setting
Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric setting
Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric occupational therapy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail
Computer skills (including email and Microsoft Teams)
Experience in teletherapy
Knowledge of sensory integration therapy and therapeutic modalities (preferred)
