Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a strategic leader guiding the agency’s transition toward a modern, scalable, and secure application ecosystem.
Shape the architecture that unifies legacy systems with emerging cloud-native platforms across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
Define modernization pathways, advancing Zero Trust principles, and establishing standardized patterns for microservices, containerization, and observability.
Enable faster application onboarding, stronger security guardrails, and an enterprise-wide shift toward automated, resilient, and data-driven operations.
Lead enterprise architecture across legacy, AWS, Azure, and on-prem systems.
Define modernization, Zero Trust, microservices, DevSecOps patterns.

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in enterprise, cloud, or solutions architecture
Deep expertise with AWS, Azure, and on-prem systems
Proven experience architecting scalable, repeatable environments for large cloud infrastructures and application pipelines
Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, container orchestration, and enterprise security patterns
Experience defining architectural roadmaps and coaching teams through implementation
Experience with Terraform, Argo CD, OPA, or Kyverno
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or comparable)
Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or comparable)
Background in Zero Trust architecture, policy-as-code, and modern microservice patterns
