Key responsibilities & impact

Work with teams using human-centered design principles, methods and technologies to deliver customer value
Work closely with a more senior Design Strategist
Collaborate with team members, product owners, agility and/or change practitioners
Lead teams through full design activities across all aspects of design projects
Facilitate design thinking activities
Conduct user research activities and implementation
Apply human-centered, value-driven prioritization techniques
Help individuals and teams succeed
Encourage teams to think about the customer

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, data science or related major
Duke Energy internship or co-op experience
Demonstrated servant-leadership in nontraditional ways
Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
Strong initiative and self-organization
Design thinking facilitation
User research activities and implementation
Human-centered value-driven prioritization techniques
Proficient public speaking skills
Strong facilitation skills
Openness, approachability, collaborative nature, and enjoyment working with passionate people
Learner mindset and natural curiosity
Proactive problem-solving
Ability to meet an individual or team where they are and help them succeed
Professional judgment on when to ask for help
Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
