About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage or assist with management of all phases of project planning and execution
- Ensure project success factors are met, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration
- Manage a portfolio of assigned low-risk projects impacting facility or department-level operations
- Provide leadership, decision making, management, guidance, coordination, and control of overall projects
- Perform project management in accordance with company policies, procedures, systems, and requirements
- Coordinate with internal departments, external suppliers and vendors, project teams, and regulatory agencies
- Support project scheduling and cost controls
- Travel as required, approximately 5–15%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or related field
- Duke Energy internship or co-op experience
- Project-related work or school experience preferred
- Working knowledge of project management, decision making, critical thinking, and problem solving preferred
- Collaborative team member preferred
- Working knowledge of project-related scheduling and cost controls preferred
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- Must meet all basic/required qualifications
