About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage or assist with management of all phases of project planning and execution
  • Ensure project success factors are met, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned low-risk projects impacting facility or department-level operations
  • Provide leadership, decision making, management, guidance, coordination, and control of overall projects
  • Perform project management in accordance with company policies, procedures, systems, and requirements
  • Coordinate with internal departments, external suppliers and vendors, project teams, and regulatory agencies
  • Support project scheduling and cost controls
  • Travel as required, approximately 5–15%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or related field
  • Duke Energy internship or co-op experience
  • Project-related work or school experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of project management, decision making, critical thinking, and problem solving preferred
  • Collaborative team member preferred
  • Working knowledge of project-related scheduling and cost controls preferred
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Must meet all basic/required qualifications
