About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Cybersecurity program for operational assets
- Provide direct cybersecurity service and support to generating stations
- Ensure compliance with Duke Energy enterprise cybersecurity requirements
- Respond to cybersecurity threats and events
- Implement cybersecurity program requirements and policies
- Perform hands-on patching, antivirus protection, account management, cyber asset inventory, and security baseline activities
- Maintain and upgrade cybersecurity systems and support new installations
- Respond to identified threats and vulnerabilities
- Revise cybersecurity program documentation
- Participate in the design and implementation of security-impacting projects
- Understand integrated generating plant systems and processes used to secure plant cyber assets
- Assess the impact of cybersecurity processes on generating systems and the overall electric grid
Requirements
What you’ll need- Entry level of the Cybersecurity & OT Analyst classification hierarchy
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts and procedures
- Ability to develop skills and work with increasing independence
- Understanding of integrated generating plant systems and processes to secure plant cyber assets
- Understanding of cybersecurity processes’ impact on generating systems and the overall electric grid
- Experience in the technical aspects of multiple digital technologies and platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols (preferred)
- Working knowledge of network architecture and firewall security (preferred)
- Working knowledge of configuration and design of cybersecurity appliances (preferred)
- Working knowledge of IT or OT virtualized environments (preferred)
- Duke Energy internship or co-op experience
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- Willingness to travel 5–15%
