About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Solve complex problems in human resource areas of specialization with general supervision
- Apply fundamental HR consulting concepts and procedures to fairly complex and varied work
- Develop advanced skills and work with greater independence
- Analyze complex HR issues, develop logical conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations
- Prioritize multiple tasks and negotiate diverse customer expectations
- Present information and facilitate large and small groups
- Travel to other locations as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in HR or relevant major and 1 year of experience
- Duke Energy internship or co-op experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and negotiate diverse customer expectations
- Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to facilitate large and small groups
- A relevant master’s degree can be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- Travel requirements: 5–15%
