About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete four nine-month Supply Chain rotations
- Work across Sourcing & Accounts Payable, Operations & Analytics, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability, Compliance / Business Support Services, and Organizational Effectiveness & Strategic Alignment
- Participate in sourcing areas including Nuclear, Generation, Major Projects, T&D, and Enterprise
- Experience complex intellectual challenges and gain practical on-the-job experience
- Participate in and lead small- and large-scale initiatives
- Interact with other Supply Chain Associates through planned social and work activities
- Develop experience in negotiations, commercial evaluations, project management, process improvement, and related tools
- Gain familiarity with Duke Energy’s corporate culture and access to senior leaders
- Deploy to an area of interest at program conclusion, subject to business need
Requirements
What you’ll need- Duke Energy Intern/Co-op Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Willingness and ability to travel 5–15% of the time
- Rotation assignments may require direct support in the required work environment
- Preferred: Master’s Degree
- Preferred: Change Management certification
- Preferred: Project Management experience or certification
- Preferred: Certified Production and Inventory Management
- Preferred: Certified Purchasing Manager
- Preferred: Lean or Six Sigma experience or certification
