About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete four nine-month Supply Chain rotations
Work across Sourcing & Accounts Payable, Operations & Analytics, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability, Compliance / Business Support Services, and Organizational Effectiveness & Strategic Alignment
Participate in sourcing areas including Nuclear, Generation, Major Projects, T&D, and Enterprise
Experience complex intellectual challenges and gain practical on-the-job experience
Participate in and lead small- and large-scale initiatives
Interact with other Supply Chain Associates through planned social and work activities
Develop experience in negotiations, commercial evaluations, project management, process improvement, and related tools
Gain familiarity with Duke Energy’s corporate culture and access to senior leaders
Deploy to an area of interest at program conclusion, subject to business need

Requirements

What you’ll need

Duke Energy Intern/Co-op Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Communications, or a related field
Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future
Willingness and ability to travel 5–15% of the time
Rotation assignments may require direct support in the required work environment
Preferred: Master’s Degree
Preferred: Change Management certification
Preferred: Project Management experience or certification
Preferred: Certified Production and Inventory Management
Preferred: Certified Purchasing Manager
Preferred: Lean or Six Sigma experience or certification
