About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide enterprise-level support for infrastructure and business application technologies, including workstations, servers, storage, mobile devices, and software
- Integrate software to enable usage, support, and monitoring of hardware technologies
- Develop and maintain routine work procedures
- Define standard installation and upgrade methodologies
- Evaluate, acquire, install, and integrate technology components
- Perform integration testing, component upgrades, and performance monitoring
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Duke Energy internship or co-op experience
- 1–2 years of computer skills, including general usage and support
- Ability to thoroughly document work processes and adhere to processes
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, conflict management, approachability, and negotiation
- Ability to prioritize activities and focus team efforts based on priority
- Ability to research independently, multitask, and meet deadlines under tight timeframes
- Ability to build working relationships across different organizational levels
- Ability to work effectively in a work-plan-driven team environment
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
