About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide enterprise-level support for infrastructure and business application technologies, including workstations, servers, storage, mobile devices, and software
  • Integrate software to enable usage, support, and monitoring of hardware technologies
  • Develop and maintain routine work procedures
  • Define standard installation and upgrade methodologies
  • Evaluate, acquire, install, and integrate technology components
  • Perform integration testing, component upgrades, and performance monitoring

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Duke Energy internship or co-op experience
  • 1–2 years of computer skills, including general usage and support
  • Ability to thoroughly document work processes and adhere to processes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, conflict management, approachability, and negotiation
  • Ability to prioritize activities and focus team efforts based on priority
  • Ability to research independently, multitask, and meet deadlines under tight timeframes
  • Ability to build working relationships across different organizational levels
  • Ability to work effectively in a work-plan-driven team environment
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
