About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse team during the PM shift.
- Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Monitor productivity and performance, addressing issues promptly and fairly.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Provide hands-on leadership and training to develop and motivate team members.
- Conduct shift briefings, allocate tasks, and monitor workflow to meet targets.
- Collaborate with Team Leaders, Warehouse Supervisors, and the Operations team to ensure smooth shift handovers.
- Manage stock control and investigate discrepancies when required.
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean, safe, and well-organized throughout the shift.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a positive team culture.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse.
- Knowledge of WMS systems and warehouse processes.
- Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and make confident operational decisions.
- Flexible and willing to support business needs when required.
- Successful candidates must undergo necessary right-to-work checks.
- Certain sites require 5-years’ worth of referencing and criminal record checks.
