About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the air import team
Ensure efficient and timely delivery of cargo
Coordinate with airlines, customs brokers, and other service providers
Ensure smooth and timely customs clearance and cargo delivery
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and other relevant regulations
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction
Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including cargo delivery times, costs, and quality
Supervise air import coordinators and other support staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required
At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is required
Prior experience in air imports
Supervisory experience is highly desirable
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Experience with leading air cargo logistics software and systems
Familiarity with air freight regulations, customs requirements, and import controls
Knowledge of airline routes and schedules
Fluency in English is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with logistics software and systems is required
