About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supervise daily inbound, outbound, product slotting, and customer communication activities
Manage labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment, and manpower
Supervise receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations consistent with service and cost objectives
Conduct staff meetings and support continuous improvement
Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical operational issues
Develop and maintain safe, profitable systems and procedures for operations, equipment, and products
Manage operations to meet productivity, service, quality, KPI, and cost-saving goals
Hire, train, supervise, counsel, and evaluate warehouse staff
Plan daily work schedules using work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions
Assign duties and adjust warehouse space, supplies, equipment, and staffing as needed
Monitor work progress and provide guidance throughout the day
Hold regular warehouse staff meetings and communicate new developments
Assist with physical operations as needed
Support and train team members in adherence to corporate and client SOPs

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED required
3 years’ experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment
1 year of supervisory experience
Preferred prior MHE certification or basic MHE operation knowledge
Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with RF scanners and WMS functions
English reading, writing, and verbal skills
Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities and counting inventory
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and personnel skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Good leadership, supervision, and planning skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
Ability to participate in cross-training activities
Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work mandatory or voluntary overtime as required
Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures
Ability to meet the physical demands of bending, walking, standing, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 1–20 pounds, and reaching, squatting, or kneeling
