About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise daily inbound, outbound, product slotting, and customer communication activities
  • Manage labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment, and manpower
  • Supervise receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations consistent with service and cost objectives
  • Conduct staff meetings and support continuous improvement
  • Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical operational issues
  • Develop and maintain safe, profitable systems and procedures for operations, equipment, and products
  • Manage operations to meet productivity, service, quality, KPI, and cost-saving goals
  • Hire, train, supervise, counsel, and evaluate warehouse staff
  • Plan daily work schedules using work orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions
  • Assign duties and adjust warehouse space, supplies, equipment, and staffing as needed
  • Monitor work progress and provide guidance throughout the day
  • Hold regular warehouse staff meetings and communicate new developments
  • Assist with physical operations as needed
  • Support and train team members in adherence to corporate and client SOPs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3 years’ experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment
  • 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Preferred prior MHE certification or basic MHE operation knowledge
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with RF scanners and WMS functions
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities and counting inventory
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and personnel skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good leadership, supervision, and planning skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to participate in cross-training activities
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work mandatory or voluntary overtime as required
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of bending, walking, standing, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 1–20 pounds, and reaching, squatting, or kneeling
