About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate the exportation of goods by ocean, including carrier booking and managing movement through various transportation channels
Prepare and process customs-clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
Track and monitor shipments and provide customers with regular status updates
Manage customer relationships, satisfaction, concerns, and issues
Collaborate with logistics, finance, and operations departments to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and other relevant requirements
Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
Experience in ocean exports is highly desirable
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulations
Understanding of trade laws and regulations
Fluency in English is required
Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred
