About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate the exportation of goods by ocean, including carrier booking and managing movement through various transportation channels
  • Prepare and process customs-clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
  • Track and monitor shipments and provide customers with regular status updates
  • Manage customer relationships, satisfaction, concerns, and issues
  • Collaborate with logistics, finance, and operations departments to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and other relevant requirements
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in ocean exports is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulations
  • Understanding of trade laws and regulations
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred
