About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate and oversee assigned daily warehouse operational activities
Oversee associates involved in warehousing, receiving, and shipping
Mentor and train new and existing associates on distribution activities and Standard Operating Procedures
Assist with forklift operation and certification
Coordinate inbound unloading, product stacking, outbound picking, and staging
Verify inbound and outbound paperwork and product counts
Load orders according to appropriate doors and trailers
Research shipping and receiving discrepancies
Communicate professionally with customers by phone, electronically, or in person
Prepare activity reports for site management
Perform quality control checks, verify standards, and report damages or discrepancies
Stack, package, shrink wrap, and label products
Report inconsistencies and problems to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager
Execute safety protocols and maintain warehouse cleanliness and security
Direct warehouse work-team operations and assist with productivity and payroll records
Participate in work scheduling and ensure jobs are assigned and completed properly
Operate and maintain material-handling equipment safely
Perform or assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance
Perform clerical and administrative tasks as assigned
Work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED required
1 year of experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment
Ability to operate material-handling equipment (MHE)
Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate
Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
Basic computer skills
RF scanner proficiency
WMS functions knowledge
English reading, writing, and verbal skills
Basic to intermediate mathematics skills for verifying quantities, counting inventory, and handling products
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all organizational levels
Ability to adapt to change and work in a stimulating, fast-paced environment
Preferred: 2–4 years of warehouse/logistics/distribution experience
Preferred: 2–4 years of proven forklift experience
Preferred: current or prior MHE certification
Must maintain an active forklift certification
