About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the overall safety and security of assigned facility, operations, and staff for the site.
- Maintain positive IFR statistics and other safety metrics for assigned location/operations.
- Ensure compliance with the standards outlined in the DSV Safety Programs Policies and Procedures and the related site and client specific Standard Operation Procedures.
- Establish HSE goals that are consistent with corporate polices and aligned with the corporate and site vision.
- Implement effective systems to comply with all applicable HSE laws and regulations.
- Communicate site HSE goals, action plans, and results to the organization.
- Review and develop HSE policies and procedures on an annual basis in keeping with best practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
- Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans
- Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices.
- Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and Power Point)
- RF Scanners WMS functions
- English (reading, writing, verbal)
